This is a versatile & delicious topping on vanilla ice cream, citrusy poundcake, or wherever else your dessert dreams may lead. And, when paired with any of the drinks from Shaker & Spoon's Born to Rum: Jamaica box, it will keep the rum fun flowing around the clock! 


1 lb. (16 oz.) of fresh strawberries
2 tablespoons sugar
3 tablespoons rum
1/2 teaspoon cornstarch
A small pinch of kosher salt
A small pinch of ground cinnamon



1. Cut strawberries into small pieces, about 1/2 inch long & wide

2. Add strawberries to a sauce pan with rum & sugar

3. Bring mixture to a simmer over medium heat

4. Stir in cornstarch and continue simmering until sauce slightly thickens, about 1-2 minutes

5. Let cool to room temperature & serve over your favorite ice cream or sponge cake
